On May 16, 2025, in line with Memorandum Order No. 2025-8 and in support of Provincial Executive Order No. 265, series of 2022, the Municipality of Lemery through its Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office successfully conducted the Limpyo Eleksyon Operation Baklas. This cleanup operation was conducted in close collaboration with the barangay officials, barangay tanods, and volunteers from 31 barangays in the municipality, municipal officials, and municipal employees.
This campaign aimed to restore the cleanliness of our surroundings—particularly along streets and public spaces—by removing materials following the recent election. These includes campaign posters, tarpaulins, wood, and other election-related waste. Through the collective effort of the community, we were able to gather approximately two tons of election-related waste from various barangays. All collected materials were carefully sorted and transported to the Municipal Eco-Park, where they will be properly processed and managed in accordance with sustainable waste disposal practices.
Special thanks are extended to the barangay officials, barangay tanods, community volunteers, municipal officials and employees who actively participated in the Limpyo Eleksyon Operation Baklas. Your active cooperation in our environmental activities are highly appreciated. Let us always help to have a clean, greener, and progressive Lemerenhon.
