The DILG Iloilo Province in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) as one of the partner agencies in DILG Iloilo Kumbuyahan, a training orientation centered on the Integration of Barangay Clearance Issuance in the Permitting Process was conducted on March 26, 2025 at the Lemery Municipal Gym.

DILG Iloilo Provincial Director Engr. Carmelo F. Orbista and Municipal Mayor Hon. Oscar Villegas opened the program with a reminder on the joint responsibilities and actions of the municipal officials, barangay leaders, and the Department.

LGOO IV Aizel Padilla led the presentations of the guidelines in the Integration of Barangay Clearance In Permitting Process from DILG MC 2019-77 and JMC 2021-01.

ARTA VI’s Joyce Salle and DICT VI’s Raphael Ramar Benasa discussed the Electronic Business One Stop Shop (eBOSS) and the functions of the eGov app respectively.

The said orientation continued on to the evaluation of the business permit process as conducted by the ARTA-DILG-DICT personnel in a walkthrough simulation and ended with the action planning and ways forward towards better client service.

The training-orientation also served as a platform for benchmarking for MLGOOs from other LGUs from Cluster 3 of the Province.

The program was also attended by LGOO II Jiselle Yanson, EODB Provincial Focal Person and LGOO II Gerrod Villaruz of the DILG Iloilo Province. Also present are LGOO V Karen Mansuelo and LGOO II Trisha Cuenca of DILG Region 6.
