Subject: NARRATIVE HISTORICAL BACKGROUND AND PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

ANABO was name derived from NAABO meaning burn to ashes. The tale relate of a man, a rich man but a miser who was able to accumulate his riches thru usurious and greedy practice. The man who built number of rice granary to store his palay as payment of those who borrow at usurious rate of interest. The man become the center of talk among the people. An even occur that one night. There was a flare of fire and these gutted all the granaries of his greedy man including himself. No one in the community assisted in the control of fire for it was unnoticed and that it was in the middle of the night. The morning proceeding the event people gather around to look what was happen and to their astonishment there was no trace of remain in the place the man and his property has just gone away. The people charge the happening to wrath of heaven and called the place Naabo meaning to ashes.

The barangay is located west of Poblacion about 3.0 kms. It is accessible by National Road. It is dominantly hilly in topography and a portion is devoted to rice field. The upper portion are planted with fruit trees and other crops. Sugar cane was one planted in its hills.

It can proceed from poblacion via Anabo to Barotac Viejo and San Rafael. It has a complete elementary school and facilities like MPP and MPC. The barangay is bounded in the east by imbaulan, North by brgy. Capiñahan, West brgy Gerongan and South brgy Dalipe.
