Subject: NARRATIVE HISTORICAL BACKGROUND AND PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

The presence of so many turtle “bao”in the locality that can be found in the rice field and creek is so distinct that it is only in this place that so many of them are found. Imbaulan meaning inhabited by turtle was the name they assign to a new community that separate from her mother brgy Anabo. It was thru a petition made by the people in this sitio last 1951 that made the Municipal council resolution creating the Barangay.

The Barangay is along a National Road about 1.5 kms from the Poblacion. It is bounded in the East by Poblacion, North by Capiñahan, West by Anabo and South Dalipe. Vegetative cover about ½ of the area where sugar cane, coconut and other orchard crop can be found. The rice field, large portion of its own by a landed owner that lesses are among the category of the farmers.

North of the brgy is mountain absent of trees used as range pasture of the farmers livestock they called it salvacion, named by the parish priest because those who seek refure during the war was not disturbed by the Japanese.

Kaolin clay ceramics are many in the locality waiting extraction because of its commercial value.
Angelo Azuelo was the pioneer brgy officials when it gain and independent status as a brgy.
