Subject: NARRATIVE HISTORICAL BACKGROUND AND PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Marapal is a tree luxuriantly growing at the source of the spring that feed the Marapal Creek. It is one of the original brgy even before the separation of the municipality. Milan is the brgy where Marapal separated after it has complied with the requirement to become an independent status.

Located North of Poblacion about 4 kms of Provincial Road. It is bounded in the East by brgy Yawyawan, North by brgy Alcantara, West by San Diego and South brgy Milan. From Marapal one can proceed to Yawyawan in the east and Capiz via Alcantara in the North.

It has the source of irrigation water having its river been tapped by Marapal Communal Irrigation Project of the NIA costing P200, 000.00. It is more of a hill and mountain than a plain where the upper portion are devoted to upland crop and pasture of people and their livestock. It has a complete elementary school that feed the need of the brgy and the neighboring community. It has also the sand and gravel resources that can be tapped in its creek.

A proposal is made to make the upland ideal land of Marapal Agro-Forestry Project.
