Subject: NARRATIVE HISTORICAL BACKGROUND AND PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

It was year 1973 when a member of Guerilla fighters entered the forest, they are RUBIO AGRAMON SR., AGAPITO AGRAMON SR., Together with their leader FEDERICO INION SR., as they walked along the forest Agapito Agramon Sr., complained that it was so hard to walk with a tall itchy grasses. As leader Federico Inion Sr., comamded his member to pull all the grasses in there way, he commanded his members with a word “ya!ya!” it was a capizanon word which means to make a way, after they hunt they went back to their other members. One of their member asked them on where did they came from, Rubio Agramon Sr., Agapito Agramon Sr., Federico Inion Sr. did not answered the question immediately for the forest didn’t have a name. As the time goes by Agapito Agramon Sr. and Federico Inion Sr. decided that they have to give name to the forest in order for them to be able to answer the question on where did they go every time they left their other members, and they named that forest “ya!ya!”.
As they and months goes by many people decided to live in “ya!ya!”, one morning Agapito Agramon Sr. found out that every morning many girls getting angry with each other for without knowing any reason. The word “ya!ya!” was changed in the named “YAWYAWAN” which came from the word “YAWYAW” which means getting angry with each other.
In year 1962 month of August, Agapito Agramon Jr. son of Agapito Agramon Sr. was elected as SB Member of the town of Lemery, he wanted to legalized the name Yawyawan so he passed a resolution which aims that Yawyawan will be known in the town as a part of barangay Milan.
As the year passed, many family moves to sitio Yawyawan and the population af Yawyawan increased, for a valuable and reliable reason SB Member Agapito Agramon Jr. passed another resolution to the Palace of Malacañang that aim also to covert the sitio Yawyawan to Barangay Yawyawan for the population of Yawyawan in increasing, these resolution was approved by President Ferdinand Marcos.
Now, Yawyawan is known to be one of the barangay in Lemery that contribute a large part in the economy of Lemery. It was known in agriculture and best of them is farming. Yawyawan is comprised of about thousands of citizens that build a new horizon for this barangay.
